5 TIPS TO STAY FRESH EVEN AFTER A LONG DAY AT WORK
The modern lifestyle is tough for everyone. With rising pressure at the workplace, crazy schedules, towering deadlines and immense responsibilities, it is getting harder and harder to stay relaxed and fresh. And these things are taking a toll on our everyday well-being and mental health as well. According to an evaluation of federal health data revealed around 3.4 percent of the Americans suffer from serious psychological issues and stress. That amounts to a staggering 8.3 million people, only in the United States of America alone. That is why trying to keep yourself calm and composed after a busy workday has become really important in these modern times. Here are five tips which you can follow, which will help you to feel relaxed and comfortable at work, and rejuvenate after a stressful day at work.
1. Wear comfortable clothes
Wearing comfortable clothes at work is one of the most important things to do if you want to stay relaxed at work. If you are not physically comfortable in your clothes in which you have to spend 8-10 hours straight, how can you even expect to be mentally relaxed? Wear comfortable underwear like soft comfortable bras, briefs made with breathable materials etc. which will make sure you feel comfortable even after a long day at your office.
2. Sleep at least seven hours
It has been scientifically proven that adult human beings need at least seven hours’ or more of sleep every day in order to stay productive and relaxed. Yes, we all have heard those crazy stories of how some CEO of a big company doesn’t sleep more than 3 hours every night, or for fifteen minutes every hour, but life doesn’t work that way for everybody. So no matter how much work you have, do give yourself ample amount of time to sleep properly. Your body and your mind will thank you for that.
3. Unwind yourself with relaxing activities
Participate in activities like yoga or Tai Chi or Pilates after your work. These relaxing activities not only relax your body, they also de-stress your mind. Making one of these holistic activities a part of your daily routine will help you relax after a long workday. You can also go for a relaxing massage after work to feel truly rejuvenated.
4. Clean your house before leaving for work
Make a habit of waking up early in the morning and cleaning your house before you leave for work. Organise your room and your home in a proper manner, so that you can come back to a clean, tidy house every day after work. Many CEOs follow this in their daily routine. It doesn’t seem like much, but once you try it, you will understand that returning back to a neat and clean home will actually make you feel a lot better.
5. Treat yourself to bath every night
Draw a bath for yourself every night and spend at least half an hour bathing before going off to sleep. Use scented bath salts, perfumed candles and relaxing music to calm your mind down and prepare your body for sleep. This will condition your body and mind to have a much more relaxing, deep, peaceful and timely sleep every night.
